Site Assistant Terms of Service

Last updated: August 31, 2026 Version: 1.0

Welcome to "Site Assistant" (referred to below as "the App").

These Terms of Service describe the rules, user responsibilities, scope of service, and related rights and obligations that apply when you use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Description of Service

The App primarily provides features related to construction projects and job-site records, including but not limited to:

The App's features may be adjusted depending on version, operating system, device capability, or operational needs.

2. No Account and Local-Data Architecture

The App currently does not require users to register or log in to an account.

Projects, photos, annotations, comparison results, and other primary content are currently stored mainly on the user's device, with no cloud sync or cloud backup service provided by the developer.

Users should therefore take reasonable care of their devices and important data.

3. User-Entered and Captured Content

Users may enter, create, or capture project content on their own, including project name, address, contact person, phone number, remarks, photos, GPS coordinates, annotations, and other information.

Users are responsible for confirming that:

The App does not proactively review content that users create or capture.

4. Job-Site Records and Dimension Data

The photo annotation, dimension-line, length-unit, location information, before/after comparison, and other job-site record features provided by the App are primarily auxiliary tools for the user's own organization, record-keeping, and communication.

The App does not constitute:

Users should still confirm relevant information based on actual site conditions, official drawings, contracts, applicable regulations, and professional judgment.

Users are responsible for confirming any discrepancies in dimensions, location, or other information that may result from user input error, photo angle, device limitations, photo scale, annotation method, or other factors.

5. GPS, Address, and Map Information

The App provides auxiliary features such as GPS positioning, address text, and opening map services.

GPS, geocoding, address, map, and navigation information may be affected by the device, satellite signal, network, operating system, or third-party map services, and complete accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

Users must not treat location information displayed or passed along by the App as a basis for surveying, boundary determination, construction staking-out, or safety decisions that require a high degree of precision.

6. Data Retention and Backup

The App's primary data is currently stored on the user's device.

Users should make appropriate backups of important projects, photos, and related data on their own.

The following circumstances may result in data loss or an inability to recover data:

Because there is currently no cloud backup service, the developer does not guarantee the ability to help recover data that exists only on the user's device.

7. System Photo Library Copies

If a user enables "Also save to photo gallery", the App will save an additional copy of captured photos to the system photo library.

Photo copies in the system photo library are separate files from the photos stored inside the App.

Accordingly, deleting a project, deleting a photo within the App, or uninstalling the App does not mean the copy in the system photo library will also be deleted.

Users are responsible for managing photos in the system photo library on their own.

If a user uses the "Import Photos" feature, this indicates the user's consent to provide existing photos they have selected from the system photo library to the App for creating project records; imported photos are stored within the App's internal storage per the rules above and are independent copies from the original library files—deleting one does not affect the other.

8. Sharing and Third-Party Services

The App can, via the operating system's sharing feature, hand off photos, comparison results, or project summaries actively selected by the user to third-party apps for processing.

Users are responsible for confirming the recipient and content of a share is correct.

Once data is sent to LINE, email, Messenger, a cloud drive, a map service, or another third-party service, it is governed by that third party's own terms of service and privacy policy.

The App will not, to the extent permitted by law, be liable for results caused by third-party service interruption, error, data loss, data breach, or other third-party conduct.

9. In-App Purchases

The App may offer the following types of in-app purchases:

The actual products, prices, features, and applicable conditions offered are as shown in the App and on the Apple App Store or Google Play at the relevant time.

Payment transactions are processed through the official payment mechanisms of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Matters related to a user's payment, cancellation, refund, renewal, and other transactions shall be handled in accordance with the applicable rules of Apple, Google, and the relevant region.

10. Remove Ads Forever

If the App offers a one-time purchase called "Remove Ads Forever" or a similarly named item, it means:

For as long as the App continues to provide its service and the relevant purchase entitlement can be correctly recognized by the device or app store, the specified ads displayed by the App will be removed.

"Forever" does not mean:

If the App ceases operation in the future, is unable to continue due to platform requirements, or another reasonable circumstance arises in which the service can no longer be continuously provided, the matter shall be handled in accordance with applicable law and app store rules.

11. Supporting the Author

If the App offers a consumable purchase item such as "Support the Author", that purchase is primarily intended as a voluntary way for users to support the developer.

Unless otherwise expressly stated on the purchase page, supporting the author does not entitle the user to additional features, service commitments, an equity or ownership interest, or other special status.

12. Advertising

The App's advertising service is provided by Google AdMob, and the App may display banner ads or interstitial ads.

Ad content is determined by the Google AdMob system; the developer does not control or guarantee its accuracy, appropriateness, or commercial nature.

Users who purchase a qualifying ad-removal item will have the App's banner ads and interstitial ads removed.

13. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not use the App to:

14. Intellectual Property

Except for content that users create themselves or lawfully hold, all intellectual property rights in the App's software, interface design, name, icons, text, feature design, and other legally protected content belong to the developer or the lawful rights holder.

These Terms of Service do not transfer any of the above intellectual property rights to the user.

15. Service Availability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the App running normally, but we do not guarantee that:

The App may adjust, suspend, or discontinue some features due to maintenance, updates, platform policy, legal requirements, technical limitations, or other reasonable causes.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and the developer bear no liability beyond what is required by law for the following matters:

Where specific liability cannot be excluded or limited by law, the matter shall be handled in accordance with applicable law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service due to changes in App features, changes in the payment model, platform requirements, legal requirements, or other necessary reasons.

Updates will be reflected in this document's "Last updated" date or version information.

If a change has a material effect on user rights, we may provide notice through the App, the public terms page, or other appropriate means.

We recommend that you review the latest version periodically.

18. Discontinuation of Service

If the App discontinues all or part of its service in the future due to technical, platform-policy, legal, operational, or other reasonable reasons, we will take reasonable action based on the actual circumstances and applicable law.

For data that remains stored on the user's device, the user is responsible for properly preserving or backing it up while the service remains available.

19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The interpretation and application of these Terms of Service shall be governed by the law applicable at the developer's location.

In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it through reasonable negotiation; if the matter must by law be handled by a court or other competent authority, it shall be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Before formal release, the developer may supplement these Terms with a specific governing law and jurisdiction based on the actual operating entity and legal requirements.
