Site Assistant Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026 Version: 1.0

"Site Assistant" (referred to below as "the App") values user privacy and the protection of personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how data is accessed, processed, stored, and transmitted when you use the App.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to data generated, entered, or processed by the App when you use "Site Assistant".

The App primarily provides construction project management, on-site photo capture, photo organization, photo annotation, dimension-line annotation, before/after comparison, project search, location records, phone dialing and map opening, and sharing features.

2. Account and Membership Data

The App currently does not require users to register, log in, or create an account.

Accordingly, the App's core features do not require you to provide an account, email, password, or third-party login information.

If membership, email binding, cloud sync, or other account-related features are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those features.

3. Project Data You Create

You may create or enter the following data within the App:

The above data is currently stored primarily on your device, including in a local SQLite database and the App's dedicated local file storage.

The App currently has no backend server of its own and no cloud sync or cloud backup feature, so the above project content is not proactively uploaded to any server controlled by the developer.

4. Camera Permission

When you use the camera feature, the App will request camera access.

Camera access is used only to:

The App will not activate the camera on its own unless you actively enter the camera feature.

You may manage or revoke camera permission through your device's system settings. If revoked, features that depend on the camera may not work properly.

5. Photos and the System Photo Library

If you enable the "Also save to photo gallery" setting, the App will save an additional copy of captured photos to your device's system photo library.

Accordingly, the App may request photo/media-related permissions as required by your operating system.

Copies in the system photo library are managed by your device's own photo management system. Even if you later:

Photo copies in the system photo library may still remain and must be managed or deleted by you through the system photo library.

If you use the "Import Photos" feature, the App will open the system-provided photo picker so you can select existing photos from your photo library to import into a project. The App only obtains the photos you actively select in that picker; it does not read, scan, or access any other unselected photos in your library, nor does it access your photo library in the background.

6. Location Data

When you actively tap the "Use current location" feature, the App may request foreground location permission to obtain your current GPS coordinates and help fill in the project's location field.

Location data may be used to:

The App does not continuously track your location and does not obtain location data in the background.

If you later manually edit the address text of a project, the already-stored GPS coordinates will not change automatically as a result.

You may disable location permission through your device's system settings. If disabled, features related to "use current location" may not be available, but other features that do not require location will continue to work normally.

7. Geocoding and Map Services

When you actively use the "Use current location" feature, the App converts your current GPS coordinates into address text via the geocoding service provided by your device's operating system.

The App does not currently integrate directly with the Google Geocoding API.

When you actively open a project's location or navigation feature, the App may open Google Maps, Apple Maps, or your device's default map app depending on your device environment, and pass along the address or coordinate information of the selected project.

Once data is handed off to a third-party map service, it is thereafter processed in accordance with that third party's own privacy policy.

8. Phone Dialing

If a contact phone number has been entered for a project, you may actively tap the phone feature to open your device's system dialer screen.

The App only passes the phone number to the system dialer; it does not place calls on its own and does not thereby obtain your call content or call history.

9. Sharing

When you actively use the sharing feature, the App may hand off the content you select to the operating system's sharing feature, including:

The App does not decide the recipients of a share on its own.

Actually sharing to LINE, email, Messenger, cloud drives, or other third-party apps is a choice you make yourself through the system share panel.

The App does not obtain information about which third-party app you ultimately chose or how it is subsequently used. Once data is handed off to a third-party service, it is governed by that third party's own privacy policy and terms of use.

10. In-App Purchases

The App may offer in-app purchase items such as subscriptions, one-time purchases, or tips/donations.

Transactions are processed through the official payment mechanisms of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

The App does not directly obtain your full credit card number or other complete payment instrument data.

To provide purchased features, confirm purchase status, or process purchase restoration, the App may receive purchase results or transaction status information provided by Apple's or Google's official payment mechanisms.

The handling of related payment data is also governed by the privacy policies of Apple, Google, or the relevant app store.

11. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to provide advertising services (banner ads and interstitial ads).

AdMob may process device identifiers, ad-related data, IP addresses, and other information necessary to serve ads, limit frequency, measure performance, and prevent ad fraud, depending on device settings and usage. The actual handling of this data is governed by Google's relevant privacy policies and the user's own privacy settings; see: https://policies.google.com/privacy

This version does not yet present an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization prompt; on iOS, ads will be served in a non-personalized or limited manner in accordance with Apple's and Google's policies.

Users who purchase "Remove Ads Forever" will have the App's banner ads and interstitial ads removed.

12. Analytics and Crash Tracking

This version does not currently use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, or any other third-party usage analytics or crash-tracking service.

If such services are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect the actual data handling involved.

13. Data Storage and Retention

The App's project data is primarily stored on your device.

Database records are stored in the App's SQLite database; photos, before/after comparison results, and other related image files are stored in the App's dedicated local file storage.

Search history currently retains only a limited number of recent entries and is stored on your device.

The retention period of data generally depends on:

Because the App currently has no cloud backup service, the developer may not be able to help recover data that exists only on your device if it is lost.

14. Data Deletion

You may use the App's features to delete projects, photos, before/after comparison results, or portions of your search history.

Some project or photo records may be retained in the local database using a soft-delete marker, but the corresponding physical photo files are deleted as designed by the feature.

The App currently does not offer a "clear all data" or "export all personal data" feature.

To remove all of the App's local data stored on your device, you may uninstall the App through your device's system.

If you previously enabled "Also save to photo gallery", copies of photos in the system photo library will not be automatically deleted when the App is uninstalled.

15. Data Security

We value the security of user data and adopt reasonable technical and management measures, appropriate to the App's actual architecture, to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss of data.

However, no electronic device, data storage method, or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Because the App currently uses a local-storage architecture, users should also take reasonable care of their devices and decide for themselves whether to make additional backups of important project data and photos.

16. Children's Privacy

The App is a project management and job-site record-keeping tool and is not a service specifically designed for or directed at children.

The App does not actively request information for the purpose of collecting personal data from children.

17. Third-Party Services

Depending on your own actions, the App may currently use or open the following third-party or system services:

Each third-party service has its own independent privacy policy and terms of use; the App cannot control how a third-party service subsequently handles data you have actively provided to it.

18. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy due to changes in App features, changes in data handling practices, the addition or removal of third-party services, platform requirements, legal requirements, or other necessary reasons.

Updates will be reflected in this document's "Last updated" date or version information.

If a change has a material effect on how user data is handled or on user rights, we may provide notice through the App, the public policy page, or other appropriate means.

We recommend that you review the latest version periodically.
